Complete Steps of Exchange Database Recovery Software
Download & Install Exchange Recovery Software
Go to Start » All Programs » Exchange EDB Recovery Software » Run Software
Step1: Click on "Add File" option to add single or multiple EDB file from your machine (both Public as well as Private store)
Step2: Now, choose "Browse" option to select EDB file (either EDB file or STM file) if you know the location of EDB file.
Note: If you have selected EDB file which already has integrated STM file stored at the same location then this software will automatically obtain STM file for migration. But, if STM is not stored in the same location of EDB, then you won't be able to recover media attachments from STM file. So, in order to convert public folder as well as private folder into Outlook PST format, you are supposed to save both EDB as well as STM file in the same location and then again select the EDB file for recovery as well as migration.
Step3: If you don't know the location of EDB file then don't worry as this updated version of Exchange Recovery software has "Search File Option" now. Users have in total 2 new options like Search All Drive or Search Selected Drive, you can select either of the two varying upon your need. and then click on "Add" button.
Now, select scanning option from the available alternatives – Quick or Advance Scan to Convert EDB to PST
Note: Quick scan is specifically meant for instant recovery of less corrupted EDB file. But if the Exchange EDB file is severely damaged and you didn't get results even after running quick scan then you can select "Advance" scan mode for deep scanning of the database.

Step11 (A-1): Now we will explain the procedure of converting Exchange mailboxes into Outlook PST format. By default, the selected file format is "PST". In this step as well you have the option to select or unselect the files that you want to move before beginning conversion process. Once done, click on "Export"
- Mail Filter Option : In this option, users can select particular time period for performing conversion procedure
- Split Option : Via this split option, users can spilt a large sized EDB file into several smaller parts before saving it as PST file. Users can select the size of the file between 1GB to 45GB or the minimum size they can choose is 1MB.
- In right panel of the software, users get selection of Exchange email, items etc., one last time before starting conversion task
Step11 (A-2): Now the pop-up window will show the conversion task
Step11 (A-3): Once the conversion task gets completed, a pop-window will appear to notify about the same
Step11 (A-4): After conversion task completed, software will show you the total count of files converted, which you can further save in your machine
Migrate Exchange EDB into MSG File Format
Step12 (A-1): To save the Exchange emails into MSG format, choose the "MSG" option from the available export options. You can also change the order of data before conversion by making changes in the "Naming Convention" option, Mail filter option can also be modified before performing export task
Step12 (A-2): Select entire mailbox or selected items that you want to convert into MSG format, select the destination path to save the converted data & then click on "Export".
Step12 (A-3): Once the conversion is completed, a window will appear asking you to save the generated CSV report.
Transfer Exchange EDB File into EML File Format
Step13 (A-1): Choose "EML" option if you want to store email messages into EML format, then re-arrange it using "Naming Convention" option & click on "Export"
Step13 (A-2): Once the process is accomplished, below mentioned window will appear
Migrate Exchange EDB File into Existing or New Exchange Server
Step14 (A-1): If you want to extract database from corrupted EDB and then export it into any of the online Exchange versions like 2013, 2010, 2007, 2003 & older versions, then select the mailboxes or items from the right pane.
Step14 (A-2): Now you are required to enter the "Alias" name of the mailbox in which you want to store the recovered database & then click on "Export". Note: Mailbox name should be validated before starting conversion process, an invalid name will not be proceed further for conversion
Step14 (A-3): Now the migration process will start and in the pop up window it will show the file item count of the transferred items
Step14 (A-4): If you want to save the CSV file then click on "Save" unless cancel it
Export Exchange Mailbox Database in PDF Format
